The Kinstretch system is born out of scientific research.
All of the movements and training techniques have been selected based on a meticulous and rigorous investigation of evidence, conducted by physical conditioning and medical experts for body control, injury mitigation, joint health, and physical longevity.
Unlike many training systems, the Kinstretch practice is complete with a self-assessment system allowing you the ability to monitor your own body for compensation that may be causing pain, loss of performance, or that may be putting you at an increased risk of injury.
Kinstretch is a movement enhancement system that develops maximum body control, flexibility and usable range of motion (MOBILITY). It is intentional mobility training that can viewed as joint specific strength training at end-ranges of motion. These joint-specific concepts focus on improving both body control and movement quality + quantity. A consistent practice can drastically decrease pain and stiffness, increase resistance to injury, and open yourself up to improved performance in any sports of life. This type of training can be done by anyone, with no prior experience required. In fact, those who are new to this type of training often notice the greatest immediate improvement.
mo·bil·i·ty (noun)

Kinstretch is not designed to replace all of your activities, rather complement and enhance them by increasing capacity or workspace in the joints. By increasing workspace/capacity in joints, you increase your mobility. If you increase mobility, you increase the ability to load your body and add more variability in your joints to improve performance.

This is not your typical stretch or yoga class. You will gain strength (not bulk), you will get better at moving and you may start forgetting about your body pains. It is encouraged to safely work at an intensity where you may experience sweating, a tolerable amount of post-class muscle soreness, occasional end-of-set body shaking (nervous system nearing fatigue) and occasional muscle cramping (which dissipates with graded exposure to end-range strengthening). These are all great signs that you are working at an intensity that will produce changes in your mobility when no other pain signals are present. Passive stretching or lying on foam rollers will not produce the physical forces required to tell your tissues to adapt as Kinstretch will.
